In May 2023 Sport Parkinson's has a team of four cyclists, all who have Parkinson's Disease and have accepted the gruelling challenge of cycling 1000 miles from John o’Groats to Land’s End in just 10 days.

The team of four - Hamish, Garen, Martin & Alex - will take it in turns to pedal a section of the route covering 25 miles each, per day, (250 miles per rider over 10 days).

The training for this cycling challenge has already begun and the team are knee deep in the organising & planning. "The support team is slowly coming together, we have a medic, physio, bike engineer and several trusty volunteers looking after our food & water and meds! We will need scheduled stops to take on a large number of calories throughout the day as well further stops to take the meds that we need to help with our individual Parkinson’s needs”.

If you would like to support the Sport Parkinson's PD cycling team in this challenge, please click the donations button below to visit our 'gofundme' page & donate what you can, to help us reach our £10k fundraising target.

All donations are greatly received and will go towards the Sport Parkinson’s healthy & strong fund, helping those with PD get active & stay active to alleviate the symptoms of PD.
